A Special Holiday Mulled Wine Recipe Packed with Immune-Boosting Powers

The colder weather is here and with the festive season getting into full swing, we thought we’d share our favorite non-alcoholic mulled wine recipe to help you warm up from the inside out!

This recipe is easy to whip up at home and is the perfect drink to serve to any guests that come over - it tastes great and looks great too. The antioxidant-rich red grape juice and cranberry juice are packed with Vitamin C and salicylic acid to help boost the immune system to ward off colds and flu, and even prevent infections. Plus, both juices contain magnesium which helps the body regulate moods and hormone levels, and even helps support healthy bones!

Fruit juices are naturally high in sugar so be sure to choose bottles with no added sugars. Swap out any juices or fruits with your seasonal family favorites for a fun twist!

Homemade non-alcoholic mulled wine recipe

Makes 4 servings

What you’ll need: 

  • 2 cups 100% red grape juice

  • 1.5 cups 100% cranberry juice

  • 2 large oranges

  • 3 cloves

  • 5 cinnamon sticks

  • 2cm piece fresh ginger

  • 1 red apple

How to make it:

  1. Slice one orange into quarters and remove the pips 

  2. Core red apple and slice into eight pieces

  3. Peel and thinly slice the fresh ginger 

  4. Pour all 3 juices into a large pan with the orange slices, cloves, 1 cinnamon stick, and ginger

  5. Stir and put over low-medium heat until hot but not boiling

  6. Add the red apple slices and stir

To serve: 

  1. Slice your second orange into wheels (round flat slices)

  2. Fill glass mugs and add an orange wheel and 1 cinnamon stick to each glass to garnish. Serve and enjoy!
